Wedding Site FAQs
A great way to share important information with your guests is by using a wedding website. It serves as a central hub where you can provide details like the event schedule, travel info, couple photos, and - most importantly - a place for guests to RSVP online. One section that’s incredibly helpful is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. This will keep you from fielding the same questions over and over, while giving your guests all the essential info they need in one place. Let’s dive into some FAQs I include on my couples’ wedding websites as a Charlotte wedding planner.
Wedding Dress Code
Include your wedding dress code for the ceremony and suggestions for what guests should wear. If there’s anything they should know about the venue (grass, gravel, sand), make sure to include that too. Wedding dress codes help set expectations and make your wedding day go smoothly. Check out my post about wedding dress codes for helpful suggestions!
Wedding RSVPs
Having your guests RSVP online is a helpful way to keep track of attendees and those still needing to respond. Here’s some of the information you should include in this section:
When are RSVPs due?
How do I RSVP?
How can I indicate my dietary restrictions?
RSVPing online helps streamline your guest list and ensures you're prepared for the day.
Wedding Registry
If you’re having a wedding registry (whether physical gifts, honeymoon contributions, or donations), including it on your website is crucial. It’s also helpful to include a question about where you are registered in your FAQs.
Travel Information
For guests that are 30 minutes away or on the other side of the country, providing travel information is critical to help them get to the right place on time. On your FAQs page, include questions and answers such as:
Do you have a hotel block?
What is guest transportation?
Is there parking at the venue? Can I leave my car overnight?
What is the closest airport?
How do I get to the venue?
This section ensures that out-of-town guests have all the travel details they need to make the trip stress-free.
Plus Ones and Kids
Some couples have different policies when it comes to allowing kids or plus ones at their wedding. This is the most often referenced category I see on wedding FAQ pages. Make sure to address the following:
Are my kids invited to the wedding?
Are plus ones allowed?
If another guest on my invite is unable to make it, can I bring someone else?
Being clear about your plus one and kids policy avoids confusion and ensures everyone knows what’s expected.
As a Charlotte wedding planner, building FAQ sections into my couples’ wedding websites has saved them so much headache and time answering the same questions over and over. Need help answering these FAQs? Reach out!
