Jessica + Jonathan

A Spring Boho Wedding

Courtyard by Marriott Beach Ceremony and Ballroom Reception | Carolina Beach, NC

On a beautiful spring day in May 2025, Jessica and Jonathan said "I do" surrounded by 120 family members and friends. Their celebration was a stunning example of a boho garden wedding by the sea, blending wildflower romance with a relaxed, playful energy that carried through every part of the day.

On the morning of the wedding, Jessica got ready with her closest friends in the bridal suite, while Jonathan spent the morning with his crew in the groom's suite - a calm and intentional start to what would be a truly memorable day.

Pre-Ceremony

The couple chose a relaxed boho aesthetic and brought on vendors who could execute their vision in a way that felt cohesive, personal, and effortlessly beautiful.

Jessica and Jonathan also found sweet ways to weave their love of video games and anime into the day's details - small touches that made the day feel completely their own, without taking away from the soft, romantic aesthetic they had built everything else around.

The ceremony was held on the beach just outside the hotel, with the ocean as their backdrop - a setting that perfectly matched their vision of a boho garden by the sea wedding.

Before the ceremony, Jessica shared a first look with her bridal party, followed by a separate and deeply emotional first look with her dad - two moments that set the tone for everything that followed.

The ceremony was short and heartfelt, rooted in the couple's love and commitment to each other, and led by Rurik, a close friend of the bride and part of the wedding party. It was the kind of ceremony that felt genuine, meaningful, and completely true to who they are, featuring elements of Jonathan’s Jewish faith.

Cocktail Hour

While guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the Bistro Dining Deck overlooking the water, Jessica and Jonathan took photos with their families and wedding party, followed by their formal couple portraits - all with the backdrop of the beach and the hotel's stunning surroundings.

Before guests were seated for dinner, the couple did a room reveal of the Cape Ballroom - giving them a quiet moment to take in how their vision had come to life before the celebration truly began.

Reception

The evening kicked off with unique wedding party introductions, followed by the newlyweds' grand entrance into the Cape Ballroom - setting the tone for a fun and high-energy night.

After dinner, Jonathan took a moment to honor his friends by returning items they left at his house throughout the years - a hilarious way to start of toasts. This was followed by heartfelt toasts from the Father of the Groom, the Maid of Honor, and the Best Man - each one adding another layer of love and connection to the evening. Then the couple cut their cake before moving into family dances.

From there, Jessica and Jonathan shared their first dance to How Sweet it is to be Loved by You, a beautiful and surprisingly energetic moment before the dance floor officially opened.

Then the celebration shifted into full swing as guests joined them on the dance floor, kicking things off with a lively Hora - a joyful, spirited tradition that had everyone on their feet and fully in the moment.

The rest of the night was pure celebration, with guests dancing until the final last dance of the evening - a perfect close to a day full of love, laughter, and intention.
