Kate + Ben
A Spring Vintage Wedding
Oak and Fennel Farm, Castle Hayne, NC
On a beautiful spring day in March 2025, Kate and Ben said “I Do” surrounded by 100 family members and friends.
On the morning of the wedding, Kate got ready off-site at her favorite salon with her VIP girls. The florist arrived to deliver the bouquets, and Kate was surprised with a personalized charm on her bouquet to honor her late brother, adding a meaningful and emotional touch to the day.
Pre-Ceremony
The couple selected a vintage wedding style and partnered with vendors who transformed the venue into their black-and-white dream.
At the salon, Kate shared heartfelt first looks with her bridesmaids, dad, and stepdad, with all the emotions captured beautifully.
The groom and his party arrived on-site to prepare in the groom’s barn, while the bridal party finished at the salon before arriving in a party bus for a fun pre-ceremony entrance.
The outdoor ceremony took place beneath a wooden arbor adorned with white flowing fabric and arbor sprays, providing a romantic and classic focal point for the spring wedding.
Ceremony
Family members walked down the aisle to “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton, and the wedding party entered to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Kasey Musgraves. Kate was escorted down the aisle by her dad and stepdad to “Diamonds and Gasoline” by Turnpike Troubadours, creating a memorable and personal moment.
The ceremony was short and meaningful, blending elements of the couple’s spirituality, and officiated by a close family friend.
The couple and wedding party recessed out to “How Forever Feels” by Kenny Chesney, perfect because their new last name is Chesney!
Cocktail Hour
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the tent with light bites and drinks, Kate and Ben took photos with their family and wedding party.
After their portraits, the couple poured a champagne tower featuring Kate’s favorite champagne, adding an elegant and celebratory moment before the reception.
Reception
The reception began with introductions of the wedding party, followed by the couple’s grand entrance to “Brand New Man” by Brooks and Dunn.
After the intros, the couple shared their first dance to “Quite Like You” by Shane Smith & the Saints, complete with Kate’s stylish new boots.
Then the couple welcomed their parents to the dance floor for the father-daughter dance (“Daughters” by John Mayer), stepfather-daughter dance (“He Didn’t Have to Be” by Brad Paisley), and mother-son dance (“I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack).
After dinner, guests enjoyed the dance floor, along with a special appearance by the farm cat, creating fun and memorable moments.
Grand Exit
At the end, guests lined the pathway with sparklers and Kate and Ben walked through to their getaway car. A fun way to end a fun day!
