Ellie + Josh
A Spring Fairytale Wedding
Wavering Place, Eastover, SC
On a beautiful spring day in March 2025, Ellie and Josh said “I Do” surrounded by 120 family members and friends.
On the morning of the wedding, Ellie and Josh prepared on-site with their closest family and friends, enjoying separate but equally meaningful moments before the day began.
Pre-Ceremony
The couple chose a romantic fairytale wedding style and worked with vendors who enhanced the historic charm of the venue.
Once ready, Ellie and Josh shared a first look and exchanged private vows, joined shortly after by their dog, Koda, for a fun and personal touch.
After the first look, the couple took wedding party, ensuring they could join cocktail hour promptly after the ceremony.
The ceremony was held outdoors with aisle markers and culminated at a cross draped in flowing white fabric, creating a soft and romantic focal point.
Ceremony
Family and the wedding party walked down the aisle to “Canon in D” performed by their live harpist, and Ellie was escorted by her dad to “Golden Hour” by JVKE.
The ceremony was short and intimate, blending elements of the couple’s spirituality, and was officiated by a family friend. Their moms served as ring bearers, adding a sweet, personalized moment to the service.
After the ceremony, the couple and wedding party recessed, and Ellie and Josh took a few quiet moments together before starting their photos.
Cocktail Hour
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the backyard, the couple took photos in front of the historic house with their family and wedding party.
After photos, the couple participated in a room reveal, stepping into the reception space for a private moment to see how all of the details had come together.
Reception
The reception began with introductions of the newlyweds, followed immediately by their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley, paired with a welcome speech.
Next, the couple invited their parents to the dance floor for the father-daughter dance (“Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder) and mother-son dance (“Beautiful Boy” by John Lennon).
After dinner, guests enjoyed the dance floor, the couple cut their wedding cake, Ellie changed into a bridal sweat suit, and a candy truck arrived for guests to pick their favorite treats - a sweet and memorable addition to the celebration.
Grand Exit
At the end of the night, guests lined the pathway for Ellie and Josh’s private last dance. The couple walked through the bubble-lined pathway to their getaway car, ending the spring fairytale wedding at Wavering Place with a fun, playful, and magical exit.
