Ellie + Josh
A Spring Fairytale Wedding
Wavering Place, Eastover, SC
On a beautiful, spring day in March 2025, Ellie and Josh said I Do surrounded by 120 family members and friends.
On the morning of the wedding, Ellie and Josh got ready on site (separately of course) with their favorite people.
Pre-Ceremony
The couple chose to lean into the fairytale wedding aesthetic and brought on vendors who could complement the historic venue.
Once they were ready, Ellie and Josh shared a first look and private vows, and then were joined by their dog Koda!
After the first look, Ellie and Josh took pictures with their wedding party so that they could join cocktail hour after the ceremony.
The ceremony was held outdoors with aisle markers and culminated at a cross decorated with white flowing fabric.
Ceremony
The family and wedding party walked down the aisle to "Canon in D”, played by their live harpist. Ellie was escorted down the aisle by her dad, and they walked in to “Golden Hour” by JVKE.
The ceremony was short and sweet, blending in elements of the couple’s spirituality and led by a family friend. They also had their moms act as their ring bearers, which added a sweet, personal touch.
The couple and wedding party recessed out, then the couple took a few minutes to themselves to soak it all in before starting photos.
Cocktail Hour
While the bride, groom, and their families took pictures in front of the iconic house, guests were invited into the backyard where they could enjoy light bites and drinks.
When photos were done, the couple participated in a room reveal where they got to come into the reception area by themselves and see how everything had come together.
Reception
The reception started off with the introduction of the newlyweds going into their first dance - “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley and followed by a welcome speech.
Then the couple welcomed their parents up to the dance floor for the father daughter dance (“Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder) and the mother son dance (“Beautiful Boy” by John Lennon).
Once dinner wrapped up, the dance floor opened, the cake was cut, Ellie changed into a bridal sweat suit (so cool!), and a candy truck arrived for guests to pick out some sweet treats.
Grand Exit
When it was time to go, guests lined the pathway while the couple shared a private last dance. As Ellie and Josh made their way to their getaway car, guests used bubble guns to rain down a parade of bubbles. What a fun way to end the night!
