Annie + Austin

A Spring Natural Wedding

Carolina Country Weddings, Mt Pleasant, NC

On a beautiful spring day in May 2025, Annie and Austin said “I Do” surrounded by 100 family members and friends. Their wedding embraced a natural and organic aesthetic, creating a timeless and intimate celebration in the heart of Mt Pleasant, NC.

On the morning of the wedding, Annie got ready off site at a hotel with her girls and then came to the venue for PJ pics and to get dressed.

Pre-Ceremony

The couple chose a natural wedding aesthetic and worked with vendors who elevated the venue to match their fairy woodland-inspired vision.

Once everyone was ready, we captured a series of first looks with the bridesmaids, Annie’s dad, and the groomsmen (who were surprised with a fun iced moment!).

We also staged a first look fake-out to calm the groom’s nerves, followed by the couple sharing a private first look and exchanging personal vows.

After these intimate moments, Annie and Austin completed family, wedding party, and couple portraits before the ceremony.

The outdoor ceremony took place beneath a wooden arbor draped in blush pink fabric with a matching arbor garland, providing a soft and romantic focal point.

Ceremony

Family and the wedding party walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by Brooklyn Duo, while Annie was escorted by her parents to “I Get to Love You” by Ruelle.

The ceremony was short and sweet, incorporating elements of the couple’s spirituality and officiated by Austin’s youth pastor.

After exchanging vows, the couple and wedding party recessed to “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole, sending guests into cocktail hour in a celebratory mood.

Cocktail Hour

During the cocktail hour on the patio, Annie and Austin took a few quiet moments to relax and enjoy a snack and drink, while guests mingled and soaked in the venue’s spring ambiance.

Reception

The reception began with the grand entrance of the newlyweds, followed immediately by their first dance to “Stargazing – Moonlight Version” by Myles Smith.

Then, the couple invited their parents to the dance floor for the father-daughter dance (“Give Me Away” by Riley Roth) and mother-son dance (“My Wish” by Rascal Flatts).

The bride’s parents then delivered a welcome speech, followed by dinner.

After the meal, the maid of honor and best man offered heartfelt toasts, and the couple cut their wedding cake - though their dog, Olive, cheekily tried a bite first!

The dance floor opened, and the couple slipped away for a sunset photo session, taking advantage of the beautiful spring light.

Later, they returned, changed into light-up shoes, and danced the night away. Guests enjoyed a late-night snack of tater tots, a nod to the couple’s first date.

Grand Exit

At the end of the evening, guests lined the patio holding sparklers while Annie and Austin shared a private last dance.

The couple then walked through the sparkler-lined pathway, finishing with a dip kiss to end their magical day surrounded by friends, family, and thoughtful details.
