A Winter Rustic Wedding
The Gin at Aw Shucks, Monroe, NC
On a chilly, beautiful winter day in December 2024, Nisha and Parag said I Do surrounded by 80 family members and friends.
On the morning of the wedding, the wedding party got ready on site with their closest loved ones as they prepared to say I Do.
Pre-Ceremony
The couple chose to lean into the relaxed wedding aesthetic and brought on vendors who could elevate the beautiful scenery and the barn.
The ceremony was held outdoors in the woods with a wooden arbor. The arbor was decorated with floral swags, drapery, and a giant flower heart that matched the bride’s bouquet.
Ceremony
The family and wedding party walked down the aisle, including the maid of honor walking down the couple’s dog, Patches. Nisha, her mom, and grandmother walked in to “From this Moment On” by Shania Twain.
The ceremony was short and sweet, and even featured a unity sand ceremony and a wrapping of the hands.
The couple and wedding party recessed out, then made their way to the farm area to take pictures with their loved ones.
Cocktail Hour
While the bride, groom, their families, and the wedding party went off to take pictures, guests were invited into the barn where they could enjoy light bites, drinks, and sign the guestbook.
Reception
The reception started off with the newlyweds entering the barn in dramatic style, and then it was time for a dinner filled with food from both of their cultures - Jamaica and India.
After dinner, the couple held an open mic for anyone who wanted to give heartfelt speeches and well wishes.
After the toasts, the couple started their first dance, which was an energetic party mixed with some sweet moments.
After the first dance, the couple cut their cake and then the dance floor opened, where they partied until the night came to an end.
Grand Exit
When it was time to go home, the guests lined the pathway with light up foam glow sticks - a unique way to end their unique day.
