Alika + Nate
A Winter Romantic Wedding
Tybee Island Wedding Chapel and Grand Ballroom , Savannah, GA
On a beautiful, surprisingly warm winter day in February 2025, Alika and Nate said I Do surrounded by 120 family members and friends.
On the morning of the wedding, Alika and her favorite ladies got ready off site at an Airbnb before coming to the venue to get dressed.
Pre-Ceremony
The couple chose to lean into the romantic wedding aesthetic and brought on vendors who could complement the sweeping venue, built specifically for “The Last Song” movie.
Before the ceremony, the wedding party and families took photos separately so that Alika and Nate didn’t see each other.
Once it was almost time for guest arrival, the wedding party was tucked away in their respective suites and the beverage team set out a water station and champagne bookshelf for guests to enjoy.
The ceremony was held indoors with aisle runners, aisle markers, and culminated at a beautiful arch at the front of the chapel. The arch was decorated with white flowing fabric and floral swags that matched the reception centerpieces.
Ceremony
The family and wedding party walked down the aisle to "Canon in D Major," by Johann Pachelbel. Alika was escorted down the aisle by her dad, and they walked in to “At Last” by Etta James.
The ceremony was short and sweet, blending in elements of the couple’s spirituality and their love story.
The couple and wedding party recessed out to “Sure Thing” by Miguel, then the couple took a few minutes to themselves to soak it all in.
Cocktail Hour
While the bride, groom, wedding party, and their families took pictures in front of the iconic double staircase, guests were invited into the cocktail lounge where they could enjoy light bites and drinks or use the photobooth.
When photos were done, the couple participated in a room reveal where they got to come into the reception room by themselves and see how everything had come together.
Reception
The reception started off with the bridesmaids entering to “Where Them Girls At” by Megan Thee Stallion, groomsmen to “Walk Thru” by Rich Homie Quan, and the newlyweds to “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé. Then everyone settled in to have some delicious food.
After dinner, the bride changed into a new dress and the couple did a reentrance into their first dance to the song "“Love You More” by Ginuwine. Following, Alika shared a dance with her dad to “My Girl” by The Temptations.
After the special dances, we had toasts from family and friends, wishing them love and happiness.
Once toasts wrapped up, the dance floor opened, the cake was cut, and then the bride had an epic bouquet toss from the balcony.
Grand Exit
When it was time to go, guests lined the pathway while the couple shared a private last dance. As Alika and Nate made their way to their getaway car, we used bubble guns to rain down a parade of bubbles. What a fun way to end the night!
